How critical is swr between radio and amp, my fatboy seems to show higher than radio to antenna alone no amp in line.

Would ohm's change with swr I have been struggling to get my 4.5 skipshooter to below 1.3/1.4 and near 50 ohm's. Im thinking of getting the 6 foot skipshooter.

So these rules would apply to radios with built-in pill amps like rci n4 ,longhorns ect ?
